Delete your GracePad account and data

Last Updated: October 27, 2026

You can delete your GracePad account whenever you want. This page explains how, what is deleted, what we may keep, and how to ask us to do it for you if you can no longer use the app.

1. Delete your account in the app

  1. Open GracePad and sign in.
  2. Go to More, then Settings, then choose Delete account.
  3. Read what will happen. If you want a copy of your data, export it first. Then confirm with your password.

Your GracePad account is deactivated straight away. Anything you had made public becomes private, other people can no longer find your profile, notifications stop, and we remove you from GracePad marketing email. During the 30-day window, we email you the deletion date and a link to restore your account. Your data is kept in full until the 30 days end.

2. The 30-day window

After you ask to delete your account, we keep it deactivated for 30 days in case you change your mind. During that time you can reactivate it from the screen the app shows you, or with the restore link in the emails we send, which count the days down and include a reminder on the last day. Anything you had shared stays private, so you would share it again. If you do not reactivate, your account and its data are permanently deleted on the 31st day. If you want everything deleted sooner than that, contact us using the steps below.

3. What is deleted on the 31st day

  • Your profile: name, username, photo and bio.
  • Your content: notes, quick notes, plans, folders, tags, highlights, annotations, bookmarks, favorites, reading-plan progress, reflections and prayers, together with any comments on your own notes, and files you uploaded.
  • Your settings and preferences, notifications sent only to you, and your push notification registrations.
  • Your GracePad marketing email subscription.

We send you an email when it is done, saying what was removed and what was kept. Content stored only on your own devices is removed when you delete the app or sign out of it.

4. Other GospelCentrik apps

Deleting your GracePad account does not delete your GospelCentrik account or any other GospelCentrik app. If you want your GospelCentrik account and everything attached to it deleted, including the other apps, contact us as described below. Once that is complete, we also delete your contact record, your subscription customer record and your analytics profile, and your email address can be used to sign up again.

5. What we may keep

  • Records the law requires, such as billing and tax records, for the period the law requires.
  • Comments and group posts you made on other people's content. They stay, shown as from a deleted user, because removing them would change someone else's conversation.
  • An anonymous record that the account was closed, so GracePad knows to start fresh if you ever come back.
  • Limited records of your request, to show that we handled it.
  • Backups. Copies of data in our backups are overwritten on their regular cycle and are not restored to your account.
  • Anonymous statistics that no longer identify you.

6. Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Please cancel it in your store account, so you are not charged again. The app shows a link to your store's subscription page before you confirm. The store handles refunds under its own policy.

7. Ask us to delete it for you

If you cannot sign in, or you want only some of your data deleted, email support@thegracepad.com from the email address on your account, or use the contact form. Tell us what you would like deleted. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we act, and we will reply within one month.

8. Newsletter or waitlist only

If you only joined our newsletter or waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any email we sent you. To have your email address deleted from our lists altogether, contact us as above.

9. Coming back later

After your account is deleted, you can sign up again with the same email address. It starts fresh, and none of your old data comes back.

10. More about your data

See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and how we protect it, and your rights to access, correct and export your information.
