Why GracePad
Built to keep Scripture central.
GracePad began with a simple frustration: study, notes, and preaching scattered across apps that were never made to hold the Word with care. It is our attempt to bring them back into one place, with Scripture at the center of all of it.
The founder's story
A pastor's tool, before it was a product.
GracePad started as a personal struggle. For years, my Bible, notes, research, and other study tools lived in separate apps, making it difficult to maintain a seamless study experience. I would often find myself switching between apps just to look up a verse while writing notes. Eventually, I began to wonder: What if all these tools lived in one app?
I wanted a Bible that felt as personal as a well-worn, annotated copy, but with the convenience of modern technology. I wanted my annotations to sync seamlessly across devices, my notes and past revelations to remain accessible, and the insights I had gathered over the years to be easy to find whenever I needed them.
So I built GracePad: one space to read, study, take notes, and prepare sermons, with Scripture woven into the entire experience. A place where every verse is just a tap away, where insights stay connected to the passages that inspired them, and where the work I put into studying and preparing never gets lost in the shuffle.
What began as a personal tool became something worth sharing. Today we even use GracePad to share teaching materials within the pastorate of my local church. GracePad is not here to replace every study tool you use. It is here to remove distractions, unify your study flow, and keep the Word central, whether you are studying privately, learning alongside others, or preparing to teach.
What we hold to
A few convictions we won't trade away.
Scripture stays walled
The Word is shown exactly as written, word for word, never paraphrased or blended by AI. Reverence comes first.
Offline-first & private
Your notes and highlights stay yours, available with or without a signal, and in sync across every device.
Grace, not guilt
Streaks are held gently, with a free Grace Save and a Sabbath rest. Grace you have to pay for is not grace.
From the founder
“For years I longed for one place to study, write, and preach without losing my notes or leaving the Word behind. GracePad is that place, built to keep Scripture central and study friction-free, wherever you are.”

Where we are
We are still early. Help shape GracePad.
GracePad is young, and we would rather be honest about that than borrow proof we have not earned. Come along while it is still taking shape, use it in your own study, and tell us what helps and what gets in the way. What you share will shape what GracePad becomes.
